In this step, you set up rules for unpaid absences.

Example

You have an absence type that prevents one or more leave types from accruing leave during the period of the absence.

Standard settings

In the standard system, an absence can be linked to one or more leave types, and a leave type can be linked to one or more absences. The activity for this step contains fields linking absence types to leave types.

Activities

To set up rules unpaid absences, you:

  1. Choose Edit -> New entries, and enter the employee's subarea grouping.
  2. Enter the leave type with the accrual that is to be suspended when the absence is paid.
  3. Enter the absence type that will cause the leave type's accruals to be suspended.
  4. Enter the start and end dates of the validity period.
