In this step, you configure the system to calculate leave payments on termination/redundancy and to generate leave reports based on either the leave quota data stored in the Personnel Time Management component or on the leave accrual data stored in the Payroll Australia component.
To do this, you edit the International / Australian Leave feature (13INT) by either entering blank to indicate that the leave payments and reports are based on Australian leave accruals, or X to indicate that they are based on leave and absence quotas.
Example
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system is configured to process leave payments on termination/redundancy and leave reports based on the leave and absence quota data stored in Personnel Time Management.
Caution
Leave processing based on Australian leave accruals will be phased out in future releases. SAP recommends that new customers configure leave based on leave and absence quotas in Personnel Time Management.
Upgrade customers can continue to process leave using leave accruals in this release, but should convert to using leave and absence quotas in future releases.
Activities
To set up the International / Australian Leave feature, you:
- Enter the relevant country grouping (for example, 13 for Australia).
- Enter the relevant parameter (for example, &13INT=X to enable the system to retrieve leave and absence quota data).
Further notes
When executed, the Terminations/Redundancies program (RPCTR3Q0) and the Leave program (RPLEAVQ0) read the string set up in the feature and retrieve the data according to the parameters you have defined (for example, country grouping, international or Australian leave).
For more information on maintaining features, see the SAP Library documentation under HR -> HR Tools -> Features Editor.
For more information on configuring leave payments on termination/ redundancy to work with leave and absence quotas in Personnel Time Management, go to the step Set Up Redundancy Rules for Paying Leave Quotas in the Terminations/Redundancies section of Customizing for Payroll Australia.
