Use

In this IMG activity, you can create pay scale groups and levels and assign index values to these groups and levels. The index value is used to calculate employees' basic pay during the payroll run and is displayed with the master data for the Basic Pay infotype (0008).

Example

You want to enter wage types in the Basic Pay infotype (0008) that should be valuated indirectly using the pay scale groups/levels.

Requirements

You have defined pay scale types and areas in the IMG activities Define Pay Scale Types and Define Pay Scale Areas.

Standard settings

The standard system contains model entries.

Activities

  1. Check the model entries.
  2. Delete any unnecessary entries.
  3. Set up the pay scale classification and related data to meet your organization's requirements.
  4. Assign an index value.
  5. Save your changes.

Note

The value of the pay scale amount is zero (EUR 0.00). To update the pay scale amount based on the index 100 amount stored in the Index 100 Grouping table and the index value defined in the Index Value for Pay Scale Type, Area, Group, and Level table, perform the IMG activity Update Pay Scale Amount.
