In this step, you maintain the method of calculating the Christmas allowance, if there are absences in the period.
Use one of the following methods:
- Method A
The month is fully taken into account, if a minimum number of working days is fulfilled.
Example: If the minimum number of working days required in a month is 13,
- the system takes the whole month into account, if the employee worked more than 13 days
- the system does not take this month into account, if the employee worked less than 13 days.
- Method B
Only the days worked in the month are taken into account, if a minimum number of working days is fulfilled.
Example: The minimum number of working days required in a month is 13. If the employee worked 15 days and the month has 22 working days, the system calculates the fraction (or portion) of the month, that is, 15/22 = 0,68 of the month.
- Method C
Instead of the month, the whole year is considered and the cumulated absence days are deducted, if they exceed the maximum number of yearly absence days allowed.
Example: There are 240 working days in the year. If the maximum number of absences allowed in your company per year is 30 days, and an employee was absent 40 days in a year, the system determines the fraction of the year that is taken into account for the calculation of this employee's Christmas allowance, that is, (240-40)/240 = 0,83 of the year.
Example
Activities
- Maintain one of the possible methods described above.
- Maintain the minimum number of working days required for each method.
- If you choose a method that considers the year as a whole, the number of days must be the maximum number of absence days allowed in a year.
