In this step you define which hourly or daily rates are to be created during payroll accounting for individual persons. Specify the valuation bases to be used for each wage type included in payroll accounting via infotype 0008, Basic Pay.
Requirements
Wage types that are not part of the Basic Pay infotype cannot be used for generating valuation bases.
Standard settings (To be updated)
In standard personnel calculation rules P010 and P013, two hourly rates are created in technical wage types /001 and /002. Calculation rule P010 adds up the period values (e.g. salary) for an employee. Calculation rule P013 divides this total by the flat rate for hours in a period (this is given in the Basic remuneration divisor field of the Basic Pay infotype). The values for employees paid by the hour are not divided since hourly rates are already recorded for them.
Activities
Decide which hourly or daily rates you require.
Copy standard the standard personnel calculation rule P010 and rename it Z010.
Define all the necessary formulas in personnel calculation rule Z010.
Copy the standard calculation rule P013 and rename it Z013.
Define all necessary formulas in calculation rule Z013.
In schema PT00, change the calculation rules accessed from P010 to Z010 and from P013 to Z013.
Document the new formulas.
Specify the valuation bases in which each basic pay wage type is to be used.
Note
If you only need one or two hourly rates and the existing formulas meet your requirements, you can skip steps 2 through 7.
