An extra pay payment is a lump sum paid to an employee on an irregular or annual basis. There are multiple tax rates for lump sum payments depending on whether or not the employee's annual earnings plus the lump sum exceed a certain amount.

In this step, you maintain the extra pay tax rates and the earnings bracket used to calculate the tax to be deducted from an extra pay payment.

The SAP System contains the following constants:

  • Extra Pay Bracket - Band 1 (TXEML)
  • Extra Pay Bracket - Band 2 (TXEMB)
  • Extra Pay Rate - Band 2 (TXEMR)
  • Extra Pay Bracket - Band 3 (TXEMT)
  • Extra Pay Rate - Band 3 (TXEP1)
  • Extra Pay Rate - Band 1 (TXEPL)
  • Extra Pay Rate - Band 4 (TXEPT)

Recommendation

Activities

To change the value of the extra pay rate or bracket, select the appropriate constant and change the percentage or amount in the Value field.
