In this step, you define which wage types are to be used to spread the amount of tax on a payment over a number of full payroll periods.
Example
A new employee started work on April 1 but was not paid in the April payroll run. In the May payroll run, you want to pay him or her for April and May. You enter 2 in the tax spread wage type so that the system spreads the tax calculation over both pay periods.
Requirements
Standard settings
The SAP System contains the processing class 71 and the specification Spread Tax over Multiple Periods.
The SAP System contains the Nbr Periods to Tax across model wage type (TPRD).
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you use or copy the model wage type.
Activities
To set up your tax spread wage types:
- Choose the relevant wage type.
- Choose Details.
- Enter the relevant specification.
- Choose Save.
