Standard settings

The SAP system contains processing class 21 which contains the following specifications for tax rates:

  • Standard PAYE Tax Rate
  • Emolument Tax Rate - back pay
  • Emolument Tax Rate - including Earner Premium
  • Daily tax
  • Bonus Tax - Irregular Bonus Payment
  • Bonus Tax - Net Pay Bonus Payment
  • Bonus Tax - Monthly Bonus Payment
  • Special tax for leave on termination
  • Termination Tax - Retirement and Redundancy
  • Salary Sacrifice Tax
  • Additional Tax

Recommendation

Activities

  1. For every wage type that is payable to the employee, check which type of tax is required.
  2. Enter the relevant processing class and specification per wage type.
