In this step, you define the superable earnings or the 'base earnings' wage types for superannuation funds. If the superannuation contributions for your employees are percentage-based, these wage types hold the earnings for the employee which form the basis for the calculation contributions. During processing, the superannuation percentages defined in the Superannuation infotype (310) are applied to this amount to calculate the company contribution and the employee contribution.
The superable earnings wage types are cumulation wage types (for example, /1nn), into which other 'earnings' wage types are cumulated.
Example
You want to set up a wage type to hold 'superable earnings'. To do this, you assign all the earnings you want to accumulate in superable earnings to a cumulation wage type. These may include salary, allowances, bonuses, commissions, over-award payments, shift and casual loadings, workers compensation payments, annual leave and sick leave payments.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system contains the following model wage type for superable earnings: /172 Superable earnings.
