Subsequent programs are called for all off-cycle activities. These subsequent programs must be grouped together in process models.
For the Off-Cycle Payroll function, you will need an individual process model. This is because, in off-cycle runs, the preliminary DME program is a subsequent activity and must be started separately in a process model.
Example
An employee receives a bonus. To run payroll, enter the personnel number and the reason for the off-cycle run. The system displays the bonuses that have been entered in the One-Time Payments Off-Cycle infotype (0267) and can be remunerated by means of an off-cycle run. You then select a bonus, enter the payday and start the payroll run.
If you have defined an appropriate process model, the system will automatically perform all additional activities in order, from printing the remuneration statement to posting to Accounting and printing the check.
Requirements
You should have an overview of the processes that must be executed after an off-cycle payroll run.
Standard settings
SAP provides standard process models.
Copy an SAP process model that you require for your off-cycle activities and modify it to suit your enterprise.
Recommendation
Activities
- Enter the model identifier for the process model that you want to copy.
- Choose Copy.
- Enter the name of the new process model.
- Choose Change.
- Modify the process model to suit your enterprise. For more information on the process model, see the SAP Library under Payroll -> Payroll in a Background Operation -> Process Model.
- Choose Activate.
Further notes
Note that the name for your process model must start with Z or with a number.
