In this step, you can:
- Define the absence payments rule for absence quotas.
- Configure the wagetypes related to leave liability in Leave Payment Calculation Table:NZ (V-T7NZLL) view
- Configure the method that the system should use while calculating leave liability by checking the Liability at Taken Rate checkbox in Leave Payment Calculation Table:NZ (V-T7NZLL) view.
The absence payment rule determines how the absence is be paid when an absence is booked. There are two types of pay rate:
- Current earning rate
- Compare the current earning rate with the average weekly earning rate and pay the highest of the two
If you wish to remunerate the absence with the higher of the two rates, you need to define an absence adjustment wage type. The absence adjustment wage type is your company's wage type for paying the differences between current and average rate at anniversary date if advance leave was taken.
If the shut down rule is applicable to the calculation of absence payments for employees with less than one year of service, you must check off the Apply shut down rule checkbox.
If the complete absence week rule is applicable to the calculation of the average weekly earning rate, you must check off the Complete absence wks checkbox.
You must enter a wage type for gross earning adjustments.

You want to remunerate anniversary leave (absence quota type 60) with the highest of the two rates.
The shut down rule and the complete absence week rule are applicable to the calculation of this absence payment.
