Use

In this activity, you maintain the following constants:

  • TXARR - This constant stores the minimum weekly salary for the deduction of minumum tax arrear amount.
  • TXARD - This constant stores the minumum tax arrear amount when the gross salary is less than or equal to the minimum weekly salary stored in constant TXARR.

The tax arrear amount to be deducted should not exceed the greater of:

  • An amount equal to or lesser than:
    • An amount calculated at the rate of 10% of the income tax due and payable by the taxpayer at the date of the notice.
    • An amount calculated at the rate of 20% of the wages or salary payable.
  • Amount stored in constant TXARD prorated to the payroll frequency. .

The exception to this rule is, if the salary for the period is lesser than the amount stored in constant TXARR of table view Payroll Constants (V_T511K) prorated to the payroll frequency, then the deduction will be the amount stored in constant TXARD prorated to the payroll frequency.

Requirements

Standard settings

The standard value of the TXARR constant is NZD 100 per week.

The standard value of the TXARD constant is NZD 10 per week.
