In this step, you define which groups of employees belong to each classification unit by assigning constants to the feature ACCRT on the basis of one or a combination of the following criteria:

  • Company code
  • Personnel area
  • Personnel subarea
  • Employee group
  • Employee subgroup
  • Country modifier

The constant contains the premium rate for the ACC contribution for a particular group of employees engaged in the same business activity. If your company is only engaged in one activity, you only need one constant.

The ACCRT feature is used to calculate the employer premium for each group of employees during the payroll run and in the ACC Employer Premium Report.

Example

Requirements

You have defined the necessary constants containing the premium rates for your employees.

Standard settings

The system contains the ACCRT feature in which the constant ACCRT is assigned to all employees.

Recommendation

Activities

  1. In the first activity, follow the decision tree and enter the constant(s) that hold the required premium rate for your specific set of criteria.
  2. If you have created a new constant, change the personnel calculation rule NZCL in the second activity accordingly.
