Use
In this step you must specify whether or not and how to calculate commuter allowance.
Recommendation
As the same transportation indicator can be used more than once in a record in infotype Commuter Traffic NL(0127), 'variable splits' are created using calculation rule NWVA, which is why this calculation rule may not be deleted or removed.
Calculation rule NWVC has been included to check whether all wage types relevant to commuter traffic have been processed (either automatically using function NWV00 and feature NLWWB or by your calculation rule) after calculation of the allowance. Therefore, this calculation rule may neither be deleted nor removed.
Activities
Check feature Calculation methods for infotype 'Commuter traffic'' NLWVB, make the necessary changes with reference to the calculation methods and generate the feature anew.
Sample calculation rule NWVB has been included in subschema NWWA which can be used to calculate the allowance from the available fields (see chapter Commuter Allowance NL, section New Method).
Enter your own calculation rule in schema NWWA, instead of the sample calculation rule NWVB, if you wish to use your own calculation method.
In table Commuter traffic transportation indicators (T5N4D), adjust the fixed allowance for each distance.
Check the fixed allowances per kilometre in table T511K and change if necessary. A number of sample constants (WWV01 - WWV04) have been included in this table for which you can specify amounts. If you wish to add your own constants you must use the correct naming convention (Zxxxx).
Further notes
When implementing the calculation method(s) for the cummuter allowance you must take into consideration that:
all three IMG steps must be customized in relation to each other and cannot be seen as individual actions;
your calculation rules must be closely in keeping with the standard SAP calculation rules (e.g. NWVA, NWVC, NWV0, NWV1 and NSC0);
during the payroll period changes may occur in infotype Commuter Traffic NL (0127); therefore, you must take the existing 'splits' in wage types into consideration when defining your calculation rule(s);
after the allowance has been calculated, fields 'NUM' and 'RTE' may no longer contain a value, this with respect to the calculation rule check NWVC;
enough time is reserved for testing all possible input combinations.
