In this step you can set up the function that executes shift change compensation.
Examples
In this way you can avoid employees being finacially disadvantaged on substitution grounds.
Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system executes a shift change compensation for all substitutions entered with substitution type 02 (shift substitution).
The wage types used in shift change compensation are only valued using wage type table T512W.
Recommendation
Activities
Please use action Flag substitution types to flag the substitution types relevant to shift change compensation.
Please use actions Check schema NT00 and Check schema XCOM to check if the schemas meet your requirements and change them if necessary. You can use functions GENPS and P2003 to restrict the number of substitution types to be processed.
Please pay special attention to wage type M301 in calculation rule X066 in schema XCOM. If you wish to use a different wage type instead of wage type M301 you must also take into account any tax matters related to the wage type table. This can, for example, be important when taking into account tax relief for nightwork.
Further notes
The standard system determines the daily shift change compensation. An employee who works the early shift instead of the night shift is at least paid for that day's work. To compensate, the employee may work the night shift the next day instead of the early shift. In this case the employee would be advantaged twice by the substitution. Given the circumstances this is not desirable. If the disadvantages and advantages have to be cleared within one week, you can do this by changing schema XCOM. In this way the disadvantages of the first day for the above employee would be cleared by the advantages of the next day. Precondition for dealing with this on a weekly basis is that both days fall within the same week.
