Implementation of this step is only required if you have already set up a customer form for the payroll journal for an earlier release.

In this step you must convert your old customer form. This will give a payroll journal which is in most respects similar to the old form. The new forms, however, will only make limited use of the new functions of the payroll journal program.

Should you wish to make full use of the new functions, you must set up the forms again from the start. To do this,

follow the procedures outlined in the section Set Up Forms with the HR Form Editor.

Activities

  1. Convert your old customer form in the customer client.
    1. Choose the activity "Convert form for payroll journal"
    2. Enter the appropriate country grouping.
    3. Enter the name of the form to be converted (for example, "ZJ01")
    4. Enter the names of the four new forms, for example:

  • "ZJT1" for the page header
  • "ZJD2" for the payroll excerpt
  • "ZJF3" for the continuation excerpt
  • "ZJS1" for the totals display.
  1. Enter the short descriptions for the new forms.
  2. If required enter the test mode.
  3. Select Execute. The old form will not be deleted, but will only
  4. be transferred to the form class 'CLJO'.
  5. Choose the activity "Form editor" to check your new forms.
