Example

  • The maximum number for a wage type can be 100 and the minimum 1.
  • The amount of a wage type must not be included in the totals line of the basic pay.
  • Wage types must be valuated indirectly, etc.

  • Define the wage type features.

Standard settings

The standard SAP R/3 system includes model wage types that can be copied to your wage types area and which maintain the features of the original model.

Activities

Adapt the wage types in accordance with your specific requirements.

  1. Define the country code for the wage types you wish to edit.
  2. Position the cursor on the chosen wage type and prompt a view of the detail.
  3. If it matches, define the wage type as a deduction.
  4. Define the maximum and minimum amounts by wage types.
  5. Define the time default units and personnel actions, as well as the maximum and minimum numbers allowed.
  6. Define the number and amount of entry combinations.
  7. Define the indirect valuation features.
  8. Delete any unecessary wage types.

Further notes

Define only wage types that can be retrieved in the infotypes; the wage types generated by the payroll process do not need to be defined.
