In this step, you can define the wage type features.

Example

  • You can specify $1000 and $10 as the maximum and minimum amounts of a wage type.
  • The maximum number of a wage type can be 100 and the minimum 1.
  • The amount of a wage type must not be included in the totals line of the basic pay.
  • The wage types must be valuated indirectly, etc.

  • Have defined the wage types catalog.
  • Define the wage types features.

Standard settings

The standard SAP R/3 system contains model wage types that can be copied to your wage types area and which maintain the same features of the original model.

Activities

Adapt the wage types in accordance with your specific requirements.

  1. Define the country code for the wage types you wish to edit.
  2. Position the cursor on the chosen wage type and prompt a view of the detail.
  3. If it matches, define the wage type as a deduction.
  4. Define the maximum and minimum amounts by wage types.
  5. Define the time default units and personnel actions, as well as the maximum and minimum numbers allowed.
  6. Define the number or amount of entry combinations.
  7. Define the indirect valuation features.
  8. Delete any unnecessary wage types.

Further notes

Define only wage types that can be retrieved in the infotypes; the wage types generated by the payroll process do not need to be defined.
