In this step, you configure the vacation pay process for each employee grouping. This allows you to set different percentages of vacation pay for different groups of employees.

Activities

Specify vacation pay processing for each employee grouping in the table.
Carry out the following activities for each employee grouping:

  1. Specify the percentage of vacation pay according to company policy.
  2. Check if part of vacation pay should be paid out every pay day.
    3. If yes, specify the percentage of vacation pay on vacation earnings to be paid out on each pay date.
  3. Specify the leave type which should determine the vacation year for vacation pay processing.
  4. In general, employees will not receive vacation pay for every type of leave. Specify which leave types qualify for vacation pay.
  5. The system generates statement wage types within vacation pay processing. Set a grouping for vacation pay statement wage types.
  6. According to the SAP vacation pay model, vacation pay accrues within the vacation pay accrual year. Specify a grouping for defining the vacation pay accrual year.
  7. Set the appropriate indicator for vacation pay processing.
  • The indicator which determines the method for calculating vacation pay is Formular Ind.. Use entry 3 if you want to utilize Vacation Entitlement from infotype 0005. If you make this entry, you must also make an entry in the Valuation base field. This entry indicates what valuation basis will be used for the number of vacation hours being calculated.
  • Entries 1 and 2 in the Formular Ind. field use the Vacationable Earnings technical wage type /1VE based on provincial entries in processing class 67. If you entered a percentage in the % acc. Company policy field, then the company policy as well as legal calculations are performed. The legal calculations in this case are used for historical and auditing purposes. If no entry was made in this field, the legal regulatory calculation will take effect.
