EI insurable hours must be recorded properly to fulfill reporting requirements to Human Resources and Skills Development Canada for the Record of Employment. In this step, you maintain the time wage types that are to store EI insurable hours. The hours of the time wage types specified will then accumulate within wage type /223, the technical wage type that stores EI insurable hours. These hours will then, if necessary, be reported to HRSDC for the purpose of ROE reporting.

Activities

  1. Execute this IMG step.
  2. On the subseqent screen, double-click the table entry that corresponds to the first time wage type that must accumulate in technical wage type /223 for the purpose of ROE reporting.
    1. On the screen thereafter, select the Rate checkbox.
    2. In the %rate field, specify the percentage of the hours in that time wage type that are EI insurable.
    3. Select the checkbox that corresponds to time wage type /223 - EI Insurable Hours.
    4. Save your entries, and return to the previous screen.
  3. Repeat step 2 for the remainder of time wage types to be processed.
