Use
In this Customizing activity, you specify a date type that indicates an employee is promoted to senior executive. The system calculates and excludes the separation payment due for the service before the promotion from the limit check for separation payment. Only the separation payment that the employee receives for his or her service as a senior executive is subject to the limit check.
You use the Specify Date Type to Identify Promoted Employee for Separation (41SEP) feature to specify a date type. The Separation Payment (KRSEP) payroll function checks if a date of the specified date type exists in an employee's Date Specifications (0041) infotype, thus determining if and when the employee is promoted to senior executive.
Requirements
You have defined the date type that indicates promotion to senior executive in Customizing for Personnel Management under Personnel Administration -> Evaluation Basis -> Date Specifications -> Define date type.
Standard settings
Activities
In the feature decision tree, define a group of employees and assign a date type to the employee group. To define the employee group, use the fields from the Field String for Feature - Screen Control (PME04) structure.
Example
You have defined the following date type in Customizing for Personnel Management under Personnel Administration -> Evaluation Basis -> Date Specifications -> Define date type:
Date Type Description
PR Promotion Date Type
Then, you make the following specification in the feature decision tree:
MOLGA Country Grouping
|____41 South Korea
|____PR
For an employee whose country grouping is 41 South Korea, the Separation Payment (KRSEP) payroll function checks if a date of the PR date type exists in his or her Date Specifications (0041) infotype. If there is such a date, it means the employee is promoted to senior executive on that date. Then, the KRSEP payroll function excludes the separation payment the employee receives for his or her service before the promotion.
