In this step, you group your wage types for the following purposes:
- To define pay type depending on not only off-cycle reason but also wage type.
- To adapt different cumulation method to each wage type group.
Example
1. You pay some bonus wage types in regular payroll. Hence, you can't classify payments into regular pay and bonus by only grouping off-cycle reason. To do so, assort wage types according to pay type and define corresponding pay type to each group respectively.
2. You want to calculate average pay based on actual working hours for time relevant wage types. To do so, you group all time relevant wage type together and assign 'Factoring based on ZL' to it as the cumulation method.
