Use

In this Customizing activity, you define the employee groupings for making employment insurance contribution, EI EE grouping, and workers' compensation insurance (WCI) contribution, WCI EE grouping.

An employee's EI or WCI premium is calculated using the following parameters:

  • EI or WCI Compensation
  • Premium Rate
  • Supplement Contribution Rate
  • Premium Exemption Rate

For a specific type of social insurance, for example employment insurance, except for the common premium rate, the other parameters are the same for the employees in an EI EE grouping. And therefore, the system calculates their EI premium in the same way.

Requirements

  • You have defined various types of social insurance and the premium rates in Customizing for Payroll Korea, under Social Insurance -> Premium Rates.
  • You have defined the supplement contribution rate and exemption rate in the Customizing activity Define Social Insurance Premium Rates.

Standard settings

Activities

You first define the EE groupings for EI and WCI, and then determine the personnel area and subareas in each defined grouping.
