In this step, you define for which year an Employee Self-Service (ESS) user may enter data for the year-end tax adjustment calculation.

In the ESS service, the dates for the year-end adjustment data for Korea are handled differently to the way they are handled in the Personal Tax Status (0541) and Year-End Adjustment (0542) infotypes in the system. This is because, unlike an HR administrator, an ESS user is only allowed to create or change data for one specific year. He or she may, however, view the data for any previous year.

The year for which an ESS user may maintain data is derived from the variable KRYEA in the Current Year for YEA Korea table (T77S0) which you must maintain before you activate the ESS service. The begin date is always January 1 and the end date is December 31.
