Use

In this step, you ensure that any and all wage types used by your enterprise that are subject to Provincial Parental Insurance Plan (PPIP) are defined correctly for processing class 84. This processing class determines whether the earnings in the wage type are subject to PPIP premium calculation.

Activities

To configure the wage types for processing class 84, proceed as follows:

  1. Execute this step of the Implementation Guide.
  2. On the subsequent screen, find a wage type used by your enterprise that is subject to PPIP insurable earnings.
    1. Highlight the table entry that corresponds to this wage type.
    2. From the application toolbar, select Details.
    3. On the screen thereafter, specify 1 if the wage type is subject to PPIP insurable earnings.
    4. If required, delimit the period of time in which this wage type is subject to PPIP insurable earnings.
    5. Choose Save.
  3. Repeat step 2. for all remaining wage types that are subject to PPIP insurable earnings until configuration is complete.
