In this step you define the codes for the garnishment categories and their descriptions. In Canada, the laws governing garnishments often differ from one category to the next. By selecting from these codes in the Garnishment order infotype, the user determines which laws are applicable.
In addition, you can specify here the default priority of the category. If you leave the priority field of the Garnishment order infotype empty at first but specify the category, then the priority field is filled with the value specified in this view. This makes it easier to assign priorities consistently to different orders.
Example
The following categories are often used (listed are also their recommended default priorities):
EI Authorization for Deduction - 600
Family Support Deduction Notice - 300
Notice of Garnishment - 400
Requirement to Pay (Canada Revenue Agency) - 100
Unemployment Insurance Demand - 200
Voluntary payment - 700
Wage Assignment - 500
