  1. In the first step, enter the wage types you will use to represent the taxable and nontaxable portions of allowances. Use the indicator column to ensure unique entries. The personnel calculation rules for allowance processing use the indicators to identify which wage types represent taxable or nontaxable portions of the allowance amounts.
  2. In the second step, maintain processing class 47 for the wage types you assigned in the prior step.
