All arrears deductions must be assigned to wage type group 'Deductions for arrears'.

Requirements
Wage types have been defined in the wage type catalog.
The wage type calatog for deductions has been created in the personnel administration section of the implementation guide. Please refer to chapters Recurring Payments and Deductions and Additional Payments.
Standard settings
The standard SAP system contains models for arrears deductions, which are already assigned to this wage type group.

Add new wage types if necessary.
