In this step the SAP template wage types are copied and the single wage types are created for the severance indemnity management.
These copies represent the wage types which are used in the following processing and which can be adapted to the specific requirements.
Only the wage types foreseen for the severance indemnity provision calculation are proposed for the copy.

Recommendation
With reference to the copied wage types use only the name area proposed (all the wage types begin with a number). Do not copy the wage types in the SAP template wage type area (all the wage types begin with a letter or with a special character).
Activities
Create the copy wage type in order to calculate the severance indemnity provision
- by copying the wage type catalog
- by creating the prototype wage types
It is possible to call more detailed information with reference to the copy in the maintenance view through Help -> Extended help.
Further notes
- For information on the creation of customer-specific wage types read the Implementation Guide under HR management in the chapter 'Payroll accounting data -> wage types concept'.
- Consider that the template wage type copies, in other words, the user- defined wage types, transfer both the characteristics relevant to the online processing and the characteristics relevant to the SAP template wage type calculation. In the following steps it is possible to check and, if necessary, to adapt the characteristics of the single wage types relevant to the online processing.
