In this step, by copying the SAP template wage types, the single wage types are created for the protected absences calculation. These copies are the wage types which are used in the following processing and which can be adapted to the specific requirements. In this step only wage types for CAF (tax assistance center) data settlement are proposed for copy.

Standard settings
Note that copies of template wage types, that is wage types defined by the user, transfer both characteristics for on-line processing and characteristics for calculation of SAP template wage types.
Recommendation
For copied wage types use only the default name range (all the wage types beginning with a figure). Do not copy wage types into the SAP template wage type range (all the wage types beginning with a letter or a special character).
Activities
Create the copy wage types for CAF data settlement:
- by copying the wage type catalog
- by creating the prototype wage types.
It is possible to call more detailed information on the copy procedure in the maintenance view by selecting Help -> Extended help.
Further notes
In the following steps it is possible to check and, if required, adjust characteristics of single wage types related to on-line processing.
