The parents, the relatives or the trustees who have in charge a seriously disabled child may extend the optional maternity until the child is three years old. This absence is managed in the same way as the optional maternity.
The absence can be entered both through the infotype 0080 Maternity and therefore defining the compulsory and optional maternity periods and through the infotype 2001 Absence/Attendance if such dependencies should not be managed.

An absence type has been defined for the "optional maternity extention" in the chapter Define absence indicator .
The personnel subareas have been grouped so that a different processing of the absences/attendances can be carried out.
Wage types for INPS (social security) allowance and for the days which are not reimbursed by INPS have been created.
Standard settings
Absence type: 0850 Optional maternity extention.
Grouping of personnel subarea for absences/attendances: 15
Management type: 2
Wage type: MI22 Ext.INPS allowance, MI20 Ds not reimb. by INPS
