Use
In this step, you define the age calculation performed to determine the age of an employee in one of your group of employees.
The different employee groupings are based on any of the fields in the decision tree of the feature GAGES, for example company code, personnel area, or country grouping.
An age calculation must have a start date and an end date:
- The start date is always taken from the employee's birth date stored in infotype Personal Data (0002).
- The calculation identifier defines how to determine the end date of the age calculation. The following end date definitions are available:
1 Absence day being processed
2 Absence start date
3 Calendar date in the form DD.MM (public sector - absence start date)
4 Calendar date in the form DD.MM (private sector - absence day being processed)
If 3 or 4 is used, the calculation identifier must be supplemented with the calendar date. For example, 323.04 implies age is calculated from the birth date to April 23 in the current year, whereas the current year is decided by using the next anniversary after the start date of the absence.
If you use calculation 1 the system executes the duration calculation every day of the absence. Note, that performance can be greatly enhanced by not using the calculation identifier 1.
The calculations 2, 3, and 4 provide a static period of reference for the entire absence. The system executes the duration calculation only once for the entire absence, on the first day of the absence.
Requirements
The different calculations necessary for your needs must be attached to all your various employee groups and absence subtypes.
