In this step, you group the absence subtypes you use under an absence category.

Requirements

You have set up your absence categories with which to group the absence subtypes.

Standard settings

The standard absence subtype groupings provided by SAP are as follows:

Automatic Splitting

  • "0400" Adoption (OAP) Grouping "AA "
  • "0401" Industrial Injury (OIP) Grouping "II"
  • "0402" Maternity (OMP) Grouping "MM"
  • "0403" Paternity (OPP) Grouping 'PP"
  • "0404" Sickness (OSP) Grouping "SS"

Example

You have another type of absence other than the ones above. Create a new absence category " XX" and attach that category to you absences of that type. This absence category can then be used to group all those absences.

Further notes

By copying the above absence subtypes, this step should be unnecessary.
