This step entails setting up wage types that are paid to employees during illness.

Standard Settings

There are four delivered SAP standard wage types for disability pay.

DBC1 for the case where the employee receives a disability benefit cheque and keeps it. During the first six weeks of absence, this amount is not taxable or PRSIable.
DBC2 for the case where the employee receives a disability benefit cheque and keep it. After the first six weeks of absence, this amount is taxable but not PRSIable.
DBC3 for the case where the employee receives a disability benefit cheque and gives it to the employer. For the first six weeks of the absence, this amount is not taxable or PRSIable.
DBC4 for the case where the employee recieves a disability benefit cheque and gives it to the employer. After six weeks, this amount is taxable but not PRSIable.
