In this step, you check that the tax brackets and tax rates are accurately entered here. As you can have PPH21 and PPH26 tax processing, you have to verify the tax rates for both these types.
PPH21
PPH21 applies to local resident and expatriates who resided in Indonesia for more than 183 days in any one year period. These tax brackets and tax rates are used to:
- calculate the income tax for the employees.
- calculate the tax grossup amount of an employee's net income.
The tax brackets are maintained in Bracket Group 01.
PPH26
PPH26 applies to expatriates who resided in Indonesia for less than 183 days in any one year period. The tax rate is a flat rate regardless of the taxable income earned, and is specified as a payroll contant in the system.

Requirements
Standard settings
The standard system contains the tax brackets and rates according to the latest government regulations.
Recommendation
You only check that the entries are correct. SAP maintain the rates in the respective tables.
Activities
Check that the tax bracket and corresponding tax rates are accurately entered. The first step is for PPH21 figures and the second is for PPH26 figures.
