In this step, you divide a long absence period into one or more periods, using a different valuation rule for each period.
Example
An employee goes on leave for 12 months. The valuation for the entire period may be as follows:
- For the first 3 months, he receives his full gross pay as compensation.
- For the second 3 months, he receives 75% of his gross pay.
- For the third 3 months, he receives 50% of this gross pay.
- For the final 3 months, he receives 25% of this gross pay.
