In this operation phase it is possible to create specific processing classes or the corresponding characteristics, so that they can be linked to logical views and used for wage type maintenance.
It is also possible to create new characteristics for the existing processing classes.
Standard settings
SAP standard version processing classes are stored in the range from 01 to 89.
Processing classes from 90 to 99 are available for customer-specific entries.
Recommendation
SAP recommends not to delete or change processing classes of the standard version, as this could determine errors in wage type calculation.
Activities
- Check available entries in the customer range;
- Select the processing classes under "Navigation";
- Select "New entries";
- Define the valuation class number and enter a short text.
Further notes
SAP recommends to create new processing classes only in the customer range mentioned, since entries maintained in the SAP standard version can be overwritten in the subsequent release change.
