In this step, you check the coding of the wage types that are used for MPF or ORSO contribution schemes.

The processing classes for these wage types are 62 and 64.

Processing class 62 determines if the wage types are to be prorated. The proration factor is determined by:

the number of contribution days in the period
Factor = -----------------------------------------------
the number of scheduled work days in the period

Processing class 64 determines:

  • if the wage types are cumulated,
  • if the cumulations are stored in the IT or RT,
  • if and when splits are removed.

Check that the coding of the listed wage types meets your organization's requirement. To make any changes to the processing class specifications of a wage type:

  1. Select a wage type and choose the Detail button on the taskbar.
  2. Specify a validity period.
  3. Change the specifications of the processing class for the wage type.
  4. Save your entries.
