The schemes entered here will be available for entry as subtypes of infotype 0071.

Activities

  1. Create a new entry and enter the pension scheme reference, validity dates and the name.
  2. Once saved, select the new pension scheme and choose the 'Pension Scheme Definition' button.
  3. Create a new entry and enter the definition validity dates and the scheme's SCON number, set up date and type. Save the new entry.
  4. Choose the 'Pension Scheme Calculation Rules' button and create a new entry.
  5. Enter the validity dates, the rule calculation type, the percentage of tax free employee contributions, the pension year start and the pensionable pay wagetype.

Further notes

An alternative approach is to copy an existing pension scheme. The table entries must then be amended as necessary. Ensure you also carry out the steps to maintain the pension scheme wagetypes and holidays which will also get copied.

The percentage of tax free contributions will normally be 100. The year part of the pension year start is ignored: only the day and the month are relevant for the year change. The pensionable pay wagetype will usually be /111.
