In this step, you check the absence settings for TEL employment reporting.

Requirements

Standard settings

The SAP system is shipped with a set of official absence codes:

  • 1    Unpaid mil. service,
  • 2    Unpaid lay-off,
  • 3    Unpaid child care,
  • 4    Unpaid sick. leave,
  • 5    Unpaid leave of abs.,
  • 6    Unpaid care leave,
  • 7    Unpaid study leave,
  • 8    Unpaid job rotation.

Each absence type in the system is linked to one of the above-mentioned absence codes.

The official absence limit is set to 60 days in constant Tel-relevant absence limit (TEABL). This value is used in connection with the absence codes. Only absence codes 3 and 6 have to be reported from the beginning. The other absence codes have to be reported after 60 days.

Activities

  1. Check the absence codes in view Absence codes used for TEL employment report (V_5A4P_FITELAB).
  2. Assign absence codes to absence types in view Absence: Calendar Control (V_554S_C). Each new absence type must be assigned to an absence code.
  3. Check the absence limit in constant Tel-relevant absence limit (TEABL).

Further notes

Do not make any changes unless necessary. Note that when you copy the absence types, the absence codes are taken over as is. For new absence types, however, you must assign the correct absence code.
