In this step, you define the payroll settings for processing trade union membership fees by going through the following steps:
- Copy the model membership fee calculation rule (FIUF) and change it to suit your needs.
- Edit the corresponding subschema (FIUF), which is included in the legal deductions schema (FILD), and change it to suit your needs.
- Maintain the membership fee rates in the payroll constants table (T511K).
The subschema for trade union membership fee calculation (FIUF) is part of the legal deductions schema (FILD) and contains function P0057, which retrieves the data stored in infotype Membership fees (0057). This function calls the relevant personnel calculation rule (FIUF), which in turn calculates the trade union membership fees.

Activities
To process membership fees correctly, you need to customize the following:
Copy membership fee calculation rule
- Click Copy.
- In the dialog box, enter the new name for the rule or schema in the To rule field.
- Press Enter to confirm. The rule is automatically saved.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
Edit subschema
We recommend that you make a copy of the model schema. This ensures that all schema elements are also copied.
- Choose Copy.
- Enter the target name. If you enter an existing schema, the system asks you to choose another name.
- Make your changes.
- Click Save.
Change payroll constants
The constants TUMMX and TUPMX are used in the membership fee calculation process and contain the maximum monthly rate for trade union membership fees. The only difference is that in the first case, the membership fee is deducted from the total taxable salary, whereas in the second case, it is deducted from the total gross salary.
- Change the rates to suit your needs by entering a new rate in the Value field.
- Click Save.
