In this step, you assign the wage types you need to build up the garnishable net amount stored in wage type Total Garnishable Net (/271). For each component, you must specify whether it should be added to or subtracted from the garnishable net amount.
Example
Wage type Benefits (/104) is added to the garnishable net amount.
Requirements
Standard settings
The SAP system is shipped with the following garnishment wage types:
- Benefits (/104)
This wage type, which is added to the total garnishable net amount, contains the sum of all the fringe benefits.
- External garnishable net (/270)
This wage type, which is added to the total garnishable net amount, contains the garnishable net amount paid by an external employer. The amount is retrieved from the garnishment table (GAR), which contains the last valid garnishment master data record.
- Statutory net pay (/550)
This wage type, which is added to the total garnishable net amount, contains the employee's net salary. The amount is retrieved from the payroll results table (RT).
- Retroactive changes to statutory net (/552)
This wage type, which is added to the total garnishable net amount, contains the recalculated net salary subsequent to a garnishment correction.
- Tax exemptions IT 14/15 (/111)
This wage type contains the tax exemptions subtracted from the garnishable net amount.
Recommendation
Make sure that the relevant processing class is set correctly in the wage type definition.
