This step enables you to document which periods of continued pay are valid and how absences are valuated.

Example

If the absence type is 'K' and the employee has been with the company for 12 months, an absence which occurs after the waiting period is valuated using the basis 'X' and the (consecutive) number '1'. After 90 days, the absence is valuated using the number '2' and the basis 'Y'. These letters reappear in the personal calendar for the relevant absence days.
