In this step, you define which hourly or daily rates are to be formed during payroll for individual persons. You must define the valuation bases to be used for each wage type included in payroll via infotype 0008, Basic Pay.
Prerequisites
Wage types that are not entered in the Basic Pay infotype cannot be used to create valuation bases.
Standard settings
In standard personnel calculation rules X010 and X013, two hourly rates are created in technical wage types /001 and /002. Calculation rule X010 adds up the period values (e.g. salary) for an employee.
Calculation rule X013 divides this total by the flat rate for hours in a period (this is given in Basic remuneration divisor field of the Basic Pay infotype). The values for employees paid by the hour are not divided since hourly rates are already recorded for them.
Activities
- Decide which hourly or daily rates you require.
- Copy standard personnel calculation rule X010 and rename it Z010.
- Define all necessary formulas in personnel calculation rule Z010.
- Copy standard calculation rule X013 and rename it Z013.
- Define all necessary formulas in calculation rule Z013.
- In schema XT00, change the calculation rules accessed from X010 to Z010 and from X013 to Z013.
- Document the new formulas.
- Specify the valuation bases in which each basic pay wage type is to be used.
Note
If you only need one or two hourly rates and the existing formulas meet your requirements, you can omit steps 2 to 7.
Note:
If you are in Spain, you should follow the steps described above, replacing the following:
- international rule X010 with rule E010
- international rule X013 with rule E013
- international schema XT00 with schema ET0D for deferred month processing.
- Optionally, you can also change the rule for the valuation of daily wage types in crcy/day (EVDI).
