In this IMG activity you can activate the option of rounding off the contribution bases of employees belonging to daily contribution groups as if they were employees of monthly contribution groups,as long as they are also paid monthly.
This functionality is obtained through the COT30 constant.
When this constant is activated, the system determines that the employee's income has a monthly character when the payroll type corresponding to the employee in the personnel groups/subgroups table is monthly. In this table, payroll types are assigned according to the personnel group and subgroup the employee is assigned in the 'Organizational Assignment' infotype (0001).
While the functionality described, obtained via the constant, is at a company level, there are special cases within your company, with the option of limiting the functionality to employee groups/subgroups level. You do this through the view 'Contribution bases with inverse contribution group'.
Standard settings
In the SAP standard system, the COT30 constant is assigned the default value of '0' (non-active adjustment).
Activities
- Check if the standard value of the COT30 constant adapts to your requirements.
- Assign to it the appropriate values and validity intervals for your company, if necessary.
Note:
Bear in mind that customer constants must start with a 'Z'. If you change the value of a SAP standard constant, you run the risk of SAP overwriting the value in a future release or future system update.
- If necessary in your company, activate the rounding option at employee group/subgroup level.
