The Social Insurance General Act makes the employer responsible for the employer's own social insurance contributions and that of his/ her employees. The employer must deduct social insurance contributions from employee wages at the time of payment.
In this IMG activity you can define the wage types relevant to social insurance contribution accounting.
Example
- Employee basic wages cumulate in the planned contribution basis for non-industrial risks and IA/ID risks.
- Employee overtime cumulates in either the non-structural overtime contribution basis, or the structural overtime contribution basis.
Requirements
You must previously have defined the wage types used by your company.

SAP contains model entries.
Recommendation
Adjust the SAP model entries according to your needs.

- Check the SAP model entries.
- Adjust the model entries or define new ones according to your needs.
- According to the nature of each, specify whether the wage types should cumulate in the:
- planned contribution basis for non-industrial risks
- planned contribution base for IA/ID risks
- unstructured overtime contribution basis or
- structured overtime contribution basis
