In this IMG activity you can define the sequence of symbols that the system will generate for the Spanish personal calendar. These symbols are used to display absences during a payroll period within the system. Each symbol corresponds to a particular calculation period that has a specific purpose (such as, for example, calculating benefits according to whether it is a case of TI for non-industrial illness or industrial disease, a bonus etc). The calculation period will be displayed within the system by the number of symbols generated. That is, one symbol will be generated for each day in the calculation period.
Example
A temporary incapacity absence arising from a non-industrial illness, with a duration from 03/04/1998 to 10/04/1998, will be broken down into the following sequence of symbols:
N N N E E E E E,
where
N represents the first three days of TI,
E represents the compulsory company payments.
Requirements
You must previously have defined the absences that are relevant for generating the Spanish personal calendar.
Standard settings
In accordance with the calculation periods set by Social Insurance, the system uses the following standard symbols:
For TI arising from industrial disease (IAID):
- L: First welfare benefits period, 1 day
- 5: Second welfare benefits period, 547 days
For TI arising from non-insustrial disease (NID) :
- N: First welfare benefits period, 3 days
- E: Second welfare benefits period (company), 12 days
- 1: Third welfare benefits period, 5 days
- 3: Fourth welfare benefits period, 528 days
If TI is due to maternity:
- M: Welfare benefits period (before 1995)
or company bonus period (from 1995), 112 days
If there is an overlap with holiday leave, the system will generate the following symbols:
For TI arising from industrial disease (IAID):
- Y: overlap with L
- 9: overlap with 5
For TI arising from non-industrial disease (NID):
- X: overlap with N
- 7: overlap with 1
- W: overlap with E
- 8: overlap with 3
If TI is due to maternity:
- Z: overlap with M
