Example

If the employee is outside of the continued pay and receives a sick pay supplement, a BIF contribution should be calculated as if the employee were still in continued pay (fictitious gross amount).

For absence sick pay supplement (processing class 02, valuation class 22), indicator A must be changed to G.

Activities

Assign the additional insurance indicator to the absences for BIF insurance.

Further notes

Marking the absences does not only have an influence on BIF contribution accounting but it is also a requirement for correct reporting to the BIF.
