In this step, you set up the Supplementary funds per additional SI column. For the additional SI columns "1" private health insurance and "4" private nursing insurance You should create at least one health insurance fund (for example, health insurance fund PRIVATE). At least one cash office for the additional SI column 2 should also be set up for employees exempt from PI deductions.
For the other additional SI columns "7" BVV insurance and "8" special insurance fund for the press health insurance funds are only to be set up if you wish to represent these supplementary benefits in the system.
Recommendation
If you want to pay contributions to the Supplementary funds, you must list the Supplementary funds individually and specify the correct address and bank details. You access this data by double clicking on a supplementary fund on the initial screen. When you enter or copy a health insurance fund, you access the screen automatically. You can use the navigation point contribution classes to specify contributions to a supplementary fund. Contribution classes are not actually required for supplementary funds, since you can enter the contribution directly in the SI Additional Insurance (D) infotype (0079). You should check whether contribution classes should be used for each supplementary fund, however. The advantage of contribution classes is that you do not have to create new master data records if contributions change. Instead, you can just add a new amount to the contribution class.
