In this IMG activity, you define the workers# compensation associations that are responsible for statutory accident insurance and their hazard pay scales.
You use this data in the workers' compensation association infotype (0029), where you specify the responsible workers# compensation association and the hazard pay scale (usually dependent on the type of activity) for each employee.
The contributions to be paid to the workers# compensation association are due once a year. The level of contributions (to be paid by the employer alone) is based on the sums of the contribution-liable wages and salaries paid to the employees for each hazard pay scale.
To determine these sums, report Wage Statement for Workers' Compensation Association is available. You define the Customizing settings for this report in the section Reports and Statistics.
Standard settings
Some workers# compensation associations are set up as examples.
Preparation
- Find out which workers# compensation associations your company is insured with.
- Get the printed form for the wage statement and the directory of hazard pay scales for the relevant workers# compensation associations.
- Find out which hazard pay scales are relevant to your company.
Recommendation
You can generally find out the assessment threshold of a workers# compensation association, and the way that the number of insured persons for the wage statement is calculated, from the instructions for filling out the printed form.
You can also find out the hazard classes assigned to the hazard pay scales (sometimes referred to as hazard pay areas) from either the form of the workers# compensation association or the directory of hazard pay scales.
Activities
- Create the workers' compensation associations that you require.
Also enter the assessment threshold and the special rule for determining the number of insured persons.
- Create the necessary hazard pay scales for each workers# compensation association.
